Ironmonger Row viewed from Cross Cheaping. Camera No. 47

Well, as I mentioned for the West Orchard page, Ironmonger Row is now the road leading towards the West Orchard shoping mall, but here is where it used to be....

Ironmonger Row

We're now on the other side of the street, a few yards further down Cross Cheaping, viewing a rather sad Ironmonger Row awaiting demolition in 1935. With the mouse cursor over the image, we can see that it really was demolished in vain... unless, of course, the addition of the ubiquitous Kentucky Fried Chicken place made it all worthwhile in your opinion!
Back to the 1935 view - just visible on the right, further up the narrow lane, is the entrance to the Bull Ring at the bottom of Butcher Row.

if you wish to see the images separately.
