Baginton Airport

In 2004 the subject of airport expansion was a hot topic. However, this is nothing new: - In 1945 the plans were for an even more substantial airport. The council planned for three runways; all over a mile in length, and the largest of these would have been nearly one and three-quarter miles long!
Perhaps the anti-airport protestors should be counting themselves lucky?
