Pam Talbot's family portraits

When Pam Talbot's mother died, among her papers was a collection of family photographs, the subjects of which have not yet been identified. Pam's mother's father came from a long line of Coventry ancestors stretching back to 1700s, with family names including Holmes, Toms & Haynes. Other family names on her mother's side were Shelton, Jeavons and Newey, most of whom came from Birmingham or the Black Country originally, but some lived in Coventry later. There are also connections with the Hewitt & Towers families.

Most of the photos date from the 1910s and 1920s, with several being taken at Ward's Studios, 52 Smithford Street (which appears to have been in business form 1909 until 1917), and Benrose Studios (named after and run by Benjamin Rosenthal at 51 Cross Cheaping from 1915 to about 1920, and later became Britannia Electric Portraits Ltd., then, from 1931, Nuva Portraits).
