Six years further on from the photo of the Humber Works, and Far Gosford Street looks very different in 1912. The first building on the right can still be recognised as the recently vacated Humber Motor Works but by now has shop fronts built onto the front as the whole of the street became a shopping centre rather than the residential centre that it had previously been.
Comparing the scenes of 1912 with 2022, it is plain to see that very little has changed, building-wise, in the century gone by. The first few shops on each side have remained intact although the corner premises on the left has lost its roof, and the overhead power for the trams has long disappeared.
